- Your finished craft looks neat. The edges are laser-cut and smooth, and the cutout is made to exact size.
- You can relax when crafting with children. The silver glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
- The back gives you free space to paint and write on. Only the front is painted, and the back is left natural.
- Your decoration looks refined rather than ordinary. Depending on the light, the wood grain shows through the glaze, so every piece is unique.
Why this wooden puzzle piece makes a difference every day
On the wall, as a base for a money gift or as a name card on the dinner table: a single puzzle piece tells a little story straight away. It is about the piece that belongs. The silver surface has a calm shine. It looks festive without being loud. This way, a simple wooden cutout becomes the part of your decoration that people talk about.
Material & finish
The puzzle piece is made of 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. That is where the smooth edges, the exact size and the typical brown edge come from. The brown edge is part of what makes the piece what it is. The silver glaze on the front is applied with care. Depending on the light, you can see the grain and small knots through it. This is not a flaw, it is the nature of a natural material. Wood is never completely even: sometimes lighter, sometimes darker. That is exactly what makes each piece unique. The back is left untreated, so you can decorate it however you like.

How to use the puzzle piece
- Making money gifts: stick notes or a voucher onto the natural back. Then hand over “the missing piece to happiness” instead of an envelope.
- Making Christmas decorations: hang a small silver piece on a branch or attach it to a Christmas card. Your gift shines even before it is unwrapped.
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own piece on the untreated back. Together, the pieces make a shared keepsake for the wall.
- For a wedding or anniversary: all the guests sign a large puzzle piece of up to 50 x 50 cm. The couple takes home a guest book with a difference.
- In a café, shop or at the weekly market: write prices or messages on the piece and place it clearly in your display. It is quick to set up and can be used again and again.
Good to know about puzzles
The jigsaw puzzle was invented in 18th-century England. The map seller John Spilsbury cut maps into pieces to teach children geography. To this day, a single puzzle piece stands for belonging and togetherness. That is why it suits weddings, farewells at work, money gifts and any occasion where you want to tell someone: you belong.
Care & durability
There is not much you need to do. Simply wipe off dust with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid constant damp and wet, as the back is untreated. This way, the silver shine lasts a long time.
