The skier is laser-cut from a 3 mm thick HDF/MDF fibreboard. It is made in our own Bütic production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth edges and a clean finish. You can get started right away, with no preparation. The board is left natural. It is neither varnished nor glazed, so you can stick things on it, paint it or decorate it. Good to know: HDF is made of pressed wood fibres. These can vary in shade and show small irregularities. This is not a defect. It makes every piece one of a kind. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder, and it stays stable even when thin.
