The snowboarder is laser-cut from a 3 mm high-density fibreboard (HDF/MDF). This gives a clean outline and smooth edges that don't fray. The board is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That makes it a neutral base for priming, painting and gluing. HDF is made of pressed wood fibres, so the cutouts always show slightly different textures. Some fibres are lighter, some darker, and small irregularities can occur. This makes every piece unique. It's a feature of the natural material, not a flaw.
