We lacquer the raw boards on both sides in the pear wood shade ourselves, in our own production in Pößneck. The clear, satin, water-based lacquer lets the wood grain and knots show through. Wood is a natural material. Every cutout varies a little in lightness and texture. That is exactly what makes each star unique, and it is not a flaw.
