The star is made of 3 mm birch plywood. It feels light in the hand and still keeps its shape. We laser-cut it in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. This gives smooth edges and a clean, precise finish. We lacquer the raw sheets in colour on both sides ourselves. The final clear, satin-matt water-based lacquer lets the grain and small knots show through. Wood is a purely natural material. It varies in shade and shows more or less texture. That's not a flaw – it's exactly what makes every piece unique.
