Each star is made from 3 mm birch plywood in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The stars are laser-cut. This gives smooth, accurate edges and a clean finish. The boards are lacquered in light oak on both sides. They are then sealed with a clear, satin-matt, water-based lacquer. It deliberately leaves the grain and small knots visible. Wood is a natural material: every piece varies slightly in shade and texture. That makes each star one of a kind – it is not a defect.
