The star is laser-cut from 3 mm birch plywood. This gives smooth edges and clean, accurate results. At Bütic, we lacquer the boards ourselves on both sides in the hazelnut shade. The water-based satin lacquer lets the wood grain and small knots show through. That is exactly what gives the star its character. Wood is a purely natural material. Every piece varies slightly in brightness and texture. This is not a flaw – it's what makes each star a one-off. Made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.
