Material & finish

Every star is made from 3 mm birch plywood, cut in our own production in Pößneck. We lacquer the raw boards ourselves on both sides in chestnut. The clear, satin-matt water-based lacquer protects the surface. It lets the grain and knots show through. The laser-cutting process gives clean, smooth edges and precise shapes. They feel pleasant in your hand and are ready to use straight away. Wood is a purely natural material. Every star varies a little in shade and texture, and small irregularities in the grain are normal. That is exactly what makes each piece one of a kind – not a flaw, just real wood.

How to use your wooden star

• On the Christmas tree: thread a ribbon through the top point and hang the star. Between baubles and lights, the brown chestnut shade blends in quietly without overpowering anything else.
