We lacquer the raw boards orange on both sides ourselves, in our own production in Pößneck. An extra clear, satin water-based lacquer lets the grain and knots show through. Wood is a purely natural material. Variations in shade and small knots are not a defect. They are what makes every piece one of a kind.
