Every star is made from 3 mm birch plywood and laser cut. This gives smooth edges and accurate shapes that need no finishing. We lacquer the raw boards in colour on both sides ourselves, in our own production in Pößneck. A clear, satin water-based lacquer on top lets you see the grain and small knots of the wood. These natural differences in texture and shade are not flaws. They make every wooden cutout unique.
