Material & finish

Every star is laser cut from 3 mm birch plywood. The result is smooth edges and precise shapes that are a pleasure to craft with. The raw sheets are lacquered in colour on both sides in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The clear, satin, water-based lacquer deliberately lets the wood grain and knots show through. Wood is a purely natural material. Variations in shade, small irregularities in the grain and knots are not flaws. They make every star one of a kind.
