Material & finish

The teddy is laser-cut from 3 mm thick HDF. This gives a clean, precise outline and a smooth edge that feels nice to the touch. The surface is untreated, so it's neither varnished nor glazed. That's ideal for acrylic paint, oil or glue to stick well. HDF is made from pressed wood fibres. As with any wood-based material, the shade can be lighter or darker and may show small irregularities. That makes every piece one of a kind. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. HDF is a fibreboard like MDF, only more densely compressed. This makes it harder and keeps it stable even when thin.

How to use the MDF teddy
