The craft table is ready with glue, string and paints. The children are already pulling up their chairs. All that's missing is the shape that turns a few simple steps into real Christmas decorations. This violet wooden star with 8 points is made for exactly that. It's a laser-cut plywood cutout in the size you want, from 3 to 50 cm. The front is a strong violet, the back is left natural. Hang it in the window, on a garland or on a present. A simple afternoon becomes a small project with a result you can see.

What changes for you

  • You get exactly the size that suits your project. The star can be chosen in widths from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can craft with children with peace of mind. The violet stain meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
  • Your decoration is ready to use straight away. The laser-cut edges are smooth and the cutout is accurate to size, so no extra finishing is needed.
  • You stay flexible when decorating. The untreated back takes paint, glue or writing well.
  • You'll always have enough for garlands, Advent calendars or class projects. The star can be ordered singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this wooden star makes a difference every day

Shop-bought decorations often look much the same. A wooden star you've decorated yourself tells the story of the afternoon it was made. The wood and the rich violet look calm and natural in the window, on a branch or on the laid table. And because every star is made of real wood, what hangs in your home is not a mass-produced item but a one-off.

Material & finish

The star is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge and a handmade look. The violet stain is applied with care. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots show through. That's what makes every piece unique, because wood is a natural material with varying textures and shades. Only the front is stained. The back stays natural and untreated. Every star comes from our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Neatly finished and made in Germany.

How to use your wooden star

  • Making Christmas decorations with children: paint the back, drill a hole and thread a ribbon through. By the evening, the first star you've made yourself is hanging in the window.
  • For Christmas cards and presents: stick on a small star instead of just tying a bow. Anyone can see the parcel comes from you.
  • As an Advent calendar idea: number 24 small stars and hang them on a strip of wood. Each morning one moves along, and the excitement grows.
  • On the festive table: scatter small stars between candles and plates. Your guests have something to discover before the first course.
  • In cafés, bakeries or at market stalls: place large stars up to 50 cm in the shop window or on the counter. With the sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100, you can decorate several areas in the same style and save time setting up.

Good to know about the eight-pointed star

In Christian tradition, the eight-pointed star is the classic depiction of the Star of Bethlehem. That's why it has been closely linked with Christmas for centuries. It's also why this shape fits so naturally on the Advent wreath, in the window and on the Christmas table. From the nativity play at church to the decorations at home.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. Store the stars in a dry place and keep them away from constant moisture. That way the wood and violet stain will look good for a long time. To clean, simply wipe with a dry cloth now and then.
