Why this wooden shooting star makes a difference day to day
Between fairy lights and fir branches, the clear white shape gives the eye a rest. It doesn't glare. It looks calm and friendly. In the window, on a gift or as table scatter on the festive table, it creates a wintry mood that doesn't look cluttered. And because you choose the size, each piece fits exactly where you need it.
Material & finish
The shooting star is made from 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. That's where the smooth edges with the typical brown rim come from. The rim gives the white shape a subtle contrast. The white glaze is applied with care. Depending on the light, wood grain and small knots may still show through. This makes every piece one of a kind, because wood is a natural material with its own textures and shades. Only the front is glazed. The back is left natural and untreated, so you can decorate it however you like.

- Christmas crafts with children: each child paints their own shooting star. At the end, they proudly take home a piece they designed themselves.
- As a gift tag: write a name on it and tie it to the parcel. The gift feels personal before it's even unwrapped.
- For money gifts or a homemade Advent calendar: use the small sizes as table scatter or number tags. They hold your craft idea together.
- In the café, bakery or at the market stall: large shooting stars in shop window and counter displays. They go up quickly, suit the season and come down again with little effort.
Good to know about shooting stars
When you see a shooting star, you can make a wish. This custom has been handed down for centuries. It makes the motif a symbol of hope and good wishes. That's why the shooting star suits more than just Advent and Christmas. It also fits a birth, a christening or New Year's Eve – any time you want to wish someone luck.
Care & durability
There's not much to do. Simply wipe off dust with a dry, soft cloth. The back is untreated, so it's best to keep the shooting star away from water and constant damp. That way the white surface stays looking good for a long time. And you'll enjoy your decorations for many years.

Is the glaze suitable for children? Yes, the white glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3. Ideal for crafting with children.
Why does the shooting star have a brown edge? The cutouts are laser-cut. The fine brown edge forms naturally during cutting. The laser also gives smooth, precise edges.
