The first warm days are here, but the window still looks empty from winter. Add a few white butterflies as decoration, and you can see spring moving in. This butterfly is made of white-glazed plywood and is light in the hand. You can choose any size from 3 to 50cm in 1cm steps. So it fits your window, your wall or your next craft project. Single or as a swarm in a set – you decide how much spring you want.

What changes for you

  • Your window or wall looks like spring straight away, with little effort. At 3mm thick, the butterflies are easy to stick on or hang up.
  • You will find the right size for every surface. From a delicate 3 cm for gift ribbon to 50 cm for a shop window, in 1 cm steps.
  • You can relax while crafting and painting with children. The white glaze meets the requirements of DIN EN 71-3.
  • Your results look neat. The laser-cut edges are smooth and precise. Nothing frays, and nothing needs sanding.
  • You save yourself the priming. The front is already white-glazed. You can decorate the natural back however you like.

Why this wooden butterfly makes a difference in everyday life

White butterflies bring lightness to a room without cluttering it. On a light background they look subtle. Against a dark background they stand out clearly. Instead of short-lived paper decorations, you have a natural material you can bring out again year after year. And if you like to create things yourself, this cutout is a base that supports your idea rather than getting in its way.

Material & finish

Each butterfly is laser-cut from 3mm plywood. It has the fine brown edge typical of laser cutting. This edge frames the white shape and gives it an outline. The white glaze is applied with care. Depending on the light, the wood grain and small knots show through. Wood is a purely natural material. Textures and shades always vary a little, so every piece is unique. Only the front is glazed. The back stays natural and untreated, so glue and paint stick well there. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use your wooden butterfly

  • During spring cleaning: stick a few butterflies on the window. Then a hint of spring greets you every morning, even before everything outside is in bloom.
  • Crafting with children: everyone paints their own butterfly. In the end, a small gallery hangs in the children's room window, and everyone is proud of it.
  • Wrapping presents: tie a small butterfly to the ribbon for a birthday, christening or Mother's Day. The parcel looks lovingly made, without you spending long on decorating.
  • In a café or shop: arrange several sizes as a swarm in the shop window. It is a seasonal motif that goes up quickly and is just as quickly packed away after the season.
  • On the festive table: place a white butterfly at every seat for a wedding or communion. Your guests have something to discover before the first course.

Good to know about the butterfly

The butterfly has long been a symbol of change and new beginnings – from caterpillar to butterfly. So the motif suits more than spring decorations. It also fits christenings, communions, weddings or any other occasion where a new stage of life begins.

Care & durability

There is not much to do: an occasional dry dusting is enough. The back is untreated, so it is best to store the butterflies somewhere dry and avoid lasting moisture. That way, their shape and white surface stay looking good for a long time.
