Why this wooden spider web makes a difference day to day
There's plenty of autumn and Halloween decoration out there. But much of it looks garish and random. A wooden spider web brings calm instead. The white is subtle. The natural material gives the motif depth. Depending on the light, you can even see the grain shimmer through. The result is a decoration that works for more than one evening. It lasts the whole season, and you can bring it out again year after year.
Material & finish
The spider web is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck. This is also where the typical brown edge comes from, giving the motif a fine outline. The front has a white glaze. Depending on the light, the grain and small knots show through. The back is left natural and untreated, ideal for painting or sticking things on. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness, texture and small knots vary from piece to piece. That makes every spider web one of a kind – it isn't a flaw.

How to use the spider web
- For a Halloween party: hang several webs in different sizes in the window. The room is set for the evening before the first guest rings the bell.
- At a kids' craft afternoon: each child paints their own web on the natural back. At the end, they proudly take home a piece they've decorated themselves.
- On an autumn table: put a small spider web at each place. Your guests have something to discover before the meal even starts.
- In the shop window or on the counter: with large webs up to 50 cm high, you can decorate a bakery, café or shop for Halloween quickly and neatly. Afterwards, the decorations store away in little space until next season.
- As table scatter for the buffet: spread the small sizes from 5 cm between platters and bowls. You get a consistent motif with little effort.
Good to know about the spider web
The spider web is one of the best-known Halloween motifs. Halloween goes back to the evening before All Saints' Day, known as "All Hallows' Eve". In white, the motif looks less spooky and more delicate, almost as if covered in hoarfrost. So it suits not only a Halloween party but also calm autumn and winter decorations.
Care & durability
There's not much to do. An occasional dry dusting is enough. Keep the wood away from constant moisture. Then your spider web will keep its shape and colour for many seasons. After the celebrations, it simply goes back into the decorations box.
