Material & finish

The letters are made of light blue PLEXIGLAS^®, approx. 3 mm thick. This gives even areas of colour and clean edges that you can feel in your hand as you put them up. Every letter is laser-cut in our own production. This keeps even the fine curves of the script exact. Good to know: some capital letters have flourishes that extend beyond the chosen height. This is part of the typeface and makes the lettering look lively.

Good to know about PLEXIGLAS^®

PLEXIGLAS^® is an acrylic glass developed in Germany. It is much lighter and less prone to breaking than ordinary glass. That's exactly what makes it so practical for lettering. The letters are easy to put up. So they also work on doors, furniture and other surfaces where heavier materials would be impractical.

Why are the lower-case letters smaller than the chosen height? The chosen height applies to the capital letters. Lower-case letters are made to the same scale, just as they are designed in the font. This is the only way all the characters in a word match.

How do I fix the letters? You can glue or drill them. It depends on whether you want the lettering to stay up permanently or be removable.
