Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A name on the nursery door, a quote above the sofa or your logo word on the shop counter. Sometimes all a wall needs is the right lettering to feel truly yours. With these self-adhesive wooden letters in the Bauhaus93 font, you put together your own text letter by letter. Made to fit your wall. You choose upper and lower case freely, in four heights from 5 to 20 cm.
What changes for you
- You design your own lettering instead of buying ready-made decorations. That's because you order each letter individually, in upper or lower case and in the size you want.
- You can put the letters up without tools. The strong 3M transfer adhesive tape on the back means you simply press them on, and you're done. Of course you can still drill if you'd rather screw them in place.
- Your text adapts to your style. The poplar wood is left untreated. So you can cover, paint or oil it until the colour suits your wall.
- You get a handmade piece rather than a mass-produced one. Every letter is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. Each one has the typical brown laser edge as a fine outline.
Why self-adhesive wooden letters make a difference every day
Wooden lettering looks different from vinyl or print. It has depth, casts a slight shadow and brings a natural material to the wall. The bold, rounded shapes of Bauhaus93 are easy to read even from a distance. Use it as a welcome sign in the hallway or as signage in a café. This turns a blank surface into part of your space that says something about you. It doesn't look off-the-shelf.
Material & finish
Each letter is made of 3 mm poplar plywood and precisely laser-cut. This gives clean edges, even on the curves of Bauhaus93. The brown edge is created during laser cutting and is part of what makes these letters what they are. The wood itself is a natural material. It can be lighter or darker, shows different grain patterns and occasionally small knots. This makes every piece one of a kind. It is not a defect.
Dimensions & technical details
- Material: poplar plywood, natural
- Material thickness: 3 mm
- Back: transparent 3M transfer adhesive tape with strong adhesion
- Font: Bauhaus93, upper and lower case available
- Choice of height: 5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm or 20 cm
- The height you choose applies to the capital letters. Lower-case letters are made to the same scale as in the font design, so they are shorter (example in Arial at 10 cm: capital O = 10 cm, lower-case a = 7.3 cm, lower-case h = 9.7 cm; the lower-case g is 10 cm high but extends about 2.6 cm below the baseline)
- Some capital letters have flourishes that extend beyond the chosen height
- Each letter is supplied individually
How to use the wooden letters
- On the nursery door: your child's name in 10 cm letters. Every guest will know whose room this is.
- Above the coat rack or in the living room: a short quote or a "Welcome" as lettering. Your wall says something, and you don't need to frame or drill anything.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: product names or a greeting on the counter and wall. Quick to put up, easy to read and much longer-lasting than a paper sign.
- For crafting and decorating: paint, cover or oil the letters before putting them up. That way the colour of the text matches the room or occasion.
- Our ordering tip: For one word, order all letters in the same size, even if it starts with a capital letter. That way upper and lower case letters are made in the right proportion and the lettering looks right.
Good to know about the Bauhaus93 font
Bauhaus93 is based on the geometric typefaces of the Bauhaus movement of the 1920s. These reduced letters to simple basic shapes such as circles and lines. That's why this lettering suits modern, minimalist interiors particularly well. It also works anywhere a text should look bold without being playful.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. The letters come to you untreated. If you paint or oil them, you choose the colour and protect the surface at the same time. This keeps your lettering looking good for a long time. For the best adhesion, apply the letters to a clean, dry and dust-free surface.

Frequently asked questions
Do the letters stay on the wall without drilling? Yes. On the back there is a strong transparent 3M transfer adhesive tape. If you like, you can also drill and screw the letters in place, either in addition or instead.
Can I paint or oil the letters? Yes. The poplar plywood is untreated and can be painted, oiled or covered. It's best to do this before putting them up.
Why is a lower-case letter shorter than the size I chose? The height you choose refers to the capital letters. Lower-case letters are made to the same scale as set by the font. So please order all letters of a word in the same size.
Why do the letters have a brown edge? The edge is created during laser cutting and is typical of laser-cut wooden letters. It looks like a fine outline and emphasises the shape of the font.
Do all letters look the same? The shape and dimensions are the same, but the wood surface is not. As a natural material, poplar can be lighter or darker and shows different grain patterns. Every piece is one of a kind.
Picture the moment you step back from the wall. There, in wood, is exactly the text that belongs to you, your child or your shop. Simply put together your own text letter by letter.
