Wooden letters in dark veneer – Arial, 5–20 cm

Material & finish

Each letter is laser-cut from dark real wood veneer. It has the typical brown edge along the cut. This small detail shows that it was laser-cut. The letters are made in our own production in Pößneck. Wood is a natural material. Each veneer surface varies slightly in shade and grain. Small knots may occur. That makes every piece one of a kind – not a flaw, but part of the wood.

Good to know about veneer

Veneer is a very thin sheet cut from real wood – here only about 0.6 mm thick. So the letters show the natural grain of solid wood. Yet they are so light and flat that you can simply glue them on without drilling: on walls, doors, furniture or cards.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. The letters arrive untreated and need no further treatment as decoration. If you'd like a different colour or some protection, you can paint or oil them. That way your lettering stays the way you designed it for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Why is a lower-case letter shorter than the size I chose? The chosen height applies to the capital letters. Lower-case letters are made to the same scale, as set out in the Arial font. In 10 cm, for example, the capital O is 10 cm high and the lower-case a is 7.3 cm.

Can I paint or oil the letters? Yes. The wood is untreated and can be covered, painted or oiled – to suit your interior style.

Where does the brown edge come from? The letters are laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge along the cut – a feature of this production method.

Do all letters look the same? Not quite. Wood is a natural material and always varies a little in shade and grain. Small knots are normal and make every letter unique.
