Christmas crafts – felt gingerbread man, dark blue

Advent is starting and the table is laid. The window is still missing a soft felt motif in dark blue. That is exactly what this dark blue felt gingerbread man is made for. It is a soft, well-shaped motif for Christmas decorations just the way you imagine them. Use it in the window, on the table or sewn onto cushions and Advent calendars. You choose the size, and Bütic laser-cuts it in its own production in Pößneck. Your home then shows dark blue as a calm, wintry colour.

What changes for you

• Your window and table look lovingly decorated for Advent with very little effort. That's because the gingerbread man arrives as a finished cutout, ready to use straight away.
• You get exactly the size that suits your idea. Choose anything from 3 cm to 60 cm in 1 cm steps.
• You can sew, glue and decorate without worry. The laser cut seals the edges, so nothing frays.
• Your mugs stand softly and securely. Simply use the smaller sizes as coasters.
• You can kit out larger projects in one go. Choose sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.

Why this felt gingerbread man makes a difference every day

Ready-made decorations often look the same everywhere. A felt cutout, on the other hand, becomes your own project. Maybe you want to make Christmas decorations with the children. Maybe you're planning a garland for the window or a small motif for each place at the Advent table. The dark blue makes a calm, elegant contrast to classic red and green. So the result looks cosy rather than loud.

Material & finish

The gingerbread man is made of 100% polyester felt about 2.5–3 mm thick. It feels pleasantly firm in your hand and keeps its shape. Even so, it lies flexibly on surfaces. It is cut with a laser, which seals the edges. They don't fray and stay clean, even when sewn on or handled often. Every cutout is made in Thuringia, Germany.

• For sewing on: stitch it onto cushions, Advent calendars or gift bags. A simple piece of fabric becomes your own Christmas piece.
• As a soft coaster: smaller sizes protect the table under your teacup. Cosy and quiet.
• In the café, bakery or at the market stall: with a set of 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you can decorate your counter, shop window and sales tables uniformly and quickly. This gives you a consistent look for the whole Advent season.

Good to know about the gingerbread man

Gingerbread has a long tradition. It was already baked in monasteries in the Middle Ages. To this day, it is a firm part of Advent and Christmas. That's why the gingerbread man is instantly recognised as a Christmas motif. In the window, on the table or in a shop display, it brings back fond, familiar memories for young and old.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. Thanks to the sealed laser-cut edges, the felt doesn't fray. It stays in good shape over several Advent seasons. Store it dry and flat, and it's ready to use again next year.
