Outside, it gets dark earlier. Inside, you want things to feel cosy. And there's still room in the window for winter decorations. A snowflake in grey felt brings exactly this quiet winter mood into your home. It is subtle in colour and soft in material, just made for your window decorations. Single or in a set for Christmas crafts with children – you decide how much winter moves in.
What changes for you
- Your windows and your tree look wintry straight away, without lots of crafting. The snowflake arrives ready cut and only needs hanging up.
- You get exactly the size that fits your space. Choose from 10 to 60 cm wide, in 1 cm steps.
- You can relax while crafting and decorating with children. The soft polyester felt has no sharp edges and is gentle on small hands.
- Your decorations last for years. Thanks to the laser-cut, sealed edges, nothing frays.
- You save yourself single orders for bigger projects. Sets of 10 to 100 pieces are ideal for garlands, window decorations or shop displays.
Why this felt snowflake makes a difference every day
The subtle grey doesn't dominate. It blends quietly into your interior, whether you like simple Scandinavian style or classic Christmas decorations. The felt takes the chill off the window and makes the room feel soft and warm. And because you choose the size and quantity yourself, your decorations match instead of looking thrown together.
Material & finish
The snowflake is made of 100 % polyester felt with a thickness of approx. 2.5 to 3 mm. This makes it pleasant to hold and keeps its shape, so it doesn't hang limply in the window. It is cut with a laser. As a result, the edges are sealed and don't fray. The shape stays clean even after several winters. Every snowflake is made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the felt snowflake
- As a window decoration at Christmas: hang a few snowflakes in different sizes in the window – and it's snowing at your place, without the cold.
- As a tree ornament: spread small snowflakes between baubles and lights. They add calm grey dots of colour to your Christmas tree.
- For crafts with children: decorate the snowflakes with ribbon, beads or glitter. Each child designs their own snowflake and proudly hangs it up.
- As a coaster on the table: smaller sizes protect the tabletop under cups and tealights. And your Advent coffee gets just the right setting.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: with a set of 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you can decorate your shop window and counter in a uniform style. They are quick to hang up and can be reused for many winters.
Good to know about the snowflake
Real snow crystals always have a six-sided structure – and yet no two are alike. This mix of clear shape and uniqueness has always made the snowflake the most popular winter motif. It suits Advent just as well as simple winter decorations after Christmas, when the baubles and stars are already back in the box.

Frequently asked questions
Do the edges fray over time? No. The laser cut seals the edges. The snowflake keeps its clean shape, even if you use it again every year.
Can I use the snowflake as a coaster? Yes, smaller sizes work well as coasters on the table. The felt is approx. 2.5 to 3 mm thick and lies flat and soft.
Can I craft with the snowflakes? Very well, in fact. You can glue things onto the felt, sew on it and hang it up. It's ideal for Christmas decorations, garlands or crafts with children.
Where is the snowflake made? Every snowflake is made and cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.
Yes, it's a piece of felt. But mostly it's about the moment you switch on the light in the evening. The snowflakes in the window make winter look a little friendlier. Just choose your size and quantity – the dark season will do the rest.
