Red felt puzzle piece – cutout for crafting & decorating

Material & finish

The cutout is made from 100% polyester felt, approx. 2.5 to 3 mm thick. It has a good grip, holds its shape and feels pleasantly soft. The laser seals the edges as it cuts. Nothing frays, and every piece reaches you neatly finished. Every felt puzzle piece is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the felt puzzle piece

• Crafting with children: Each child designs their own piece. At the end, you put them all together into one shared picture. It can stay on the wall in the group room or child's bedroom.
• On the coffee table: Place small sizes under cups and glasses as coasters. The table stays free of rings. The bright red stands out straight away on a light table top.
• During Advent: When you make Christmas decorations, the red piece becomes the base for hanging ornaments, window pictures or table scatter on the festive table.
• As a mat: Larger cutouts protect the table top while you craft, cut and glue. Just lay one down and you're ready.

Good to know about the puzzle shape

The jigsaw puzzle goes back to the London mapmaker John Spilsbury. Around 1760 he cut maps into pieces so children could learn geography through play. To this day, a single puzzle piece stands for something that only becomes whole together. That's why the shape suits group projects, wedding gifts and farewell gifts where everyone contributes a piece.
