The glasses are ready and the tablecloth is fresh. And then the first cup leaves a ring after all. A felt puzzle piece in the warm shade mud sits softly under a glass, cup or vase. It protects your tablecloth and furniture from rings and moisture – just right for your coffee get-together. Prefer crafting to laying the table? As a cutout in the size of your choice, you can trim it, glue it, sew it and use it for all kinds of decorating and craft projects.

What changes for you

  • Your table stays free of rings and scratches. The soft polyester felt protects the surface under glasses, cups and vases.
  • You make coasters, place mats or wall decorations in exactly the size you want. Sizes range from 3 to 60 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You simply fit several pieces together to get a larger felt surface. The puzzle shape interlocks.
  • There are no frayed edges to tidy up. The laser cut seals the edges cleanly.
  • When crafting with children, you get a material that is ready to use straight away. Cut it, stick things on, paint it – done.

Why this felt puzzle piece makes a difference every day

Felt brings a warmth to the table that glass and ceramics alone lack. The muted mud shade suits almost any interior without standing out. It works on a light dining table as well as on a dark chest of drawers. And because you can combine the pieces as you like, a single coaster gradually grows into a matching set rather than a random collection.

Material & finish

The puzzle piece is made of 100 % polyester felt with a thickness of approx. 2.5–3 mm. It is firm enough to lie flat and soft enough to protect delicate surfaces. Every cutout is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. This seals the edges and leaves them clean, so nothing frays. The piece keeps its shape and looks tidy even with frequent use.

How to use the felt puzzle piece

  • Having guests over for coffee: Put a small puzzle piece under each cup. Your table stays spotless, and your guests are sure to notice the detail.
  • Crafting with children: Several pieces become a colourful puzzle or a home-made wall decoration. And the children see a result straight away.
  • Making Christmas decorations: Use small puzzle pieces as hanging ornaments, table scatter or card decorations. The sealed edges keep their clean shape.
  • On the windowsill: A larger cutout under the vase protects the wood from scratches and water marks.
  • In a café or on a market stall: Several pieces fitted together make a flexible mat for glasses and jugs. Quick to lay out and just as quick to pack away.

Good to know about puzzles

The jigsaw puzzle goes back to the London mapmaker and engraver John Spilsbury. Around 1760, he cut maps into pieces so that children could learn geography through play. This same principle of fitting pieces together is what makes the felt puzzle piece so adaptable. Single pieces become a larger surface whenever you need one – as a mat, a place mat or a shared craft project.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the puzzle piece as a coaster? Yes. In smaller sizes it works well as a coaster for glasses, cups or vases. The soft felt protects the table surface.

Can several pieces be joined together? Yes. The puzzle shape interlocks, so you can fit several pieces together to make a larger felt surface.

Do the edges fray? No. The laser cut seals the edges, so they keep their clean shape.

How big is the piece without the tabs? Divide the size you chose by 1.25. With an overall size of 10 x 10 cm, the main body measures 8 x 8 cm.

What counts is the moment your cup lands on soft felt instead of bare wood. And your table feels a little more homely. Just choose your size and quantity. We'll take care of the cutting.
