Why self-adhesive wooden letters make a difference every day

Material & finish

The letters are made from 3 mm poplar plywood and cleanly laser-cut. That gives them the typical brown edge, which brings out the outline of the font. The front is left untreated, so you can finish it however you like. Wood is a purely natural material. Its shade varies, it shows a lively grain and it can have small knots. That makes every letter one of a kind – not a flaw, but part of the wood.

• Important: the height you choose applies to capital letters. Lower-case letters are made to the same scale and are therefore shorter, as the font dictates. Example in Arial at 10 cm: the capital O is 10 cm high, the small a is 7.3 cm and the small h is 9.7 cm. The small g is 10 cm high but reaches about 2.6 cm below the baseline.
• So for one word, order all letters in the same size, even if it starts with a capital letter. That way, upper- and lower-case letters match.

• In the hallway or living room: a short saying as wall decoration. A greeting that welcomes guests as soon as they come in.

Good to know about the Cooper font

Cooper dates from the 1920s and is known for its soft, rounded serifs. It looks friendly and welcoming rather than strict. That is why it works well for name signs, welcome texts and shop lettering where warmth matters more than formality.

Care & durability

There is not much to do. An occasional dry dusting is enough. As the poplar wood is untreated, avoid constant moisture. If you paint or oil the front, you decide the finish and colour yourself. And the wood stays looking good for a long time.
