Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A name on the nursery door, a favourite word above the dining table or lettering in the shop window. Often a wall or door only needs some lettering to look truly finished. With these self-adhesive poplar plywood letters in the flowing Magnolia font, you put your own text together letter by letter. It's made to fit your wall. Peel, press – and your text is in place.
What changes for you
- You put up your lettering without drilling and without fiddling with glue. Every back already has clear 3M transfer tape with a strong hold.
- Your text turns out exactly as you picture it. You choose capitals and lower-case letters one by one and set the height from 5 to 20 cm yourself.
- You decorate the letters to your taste. The untreated front can be covered, painted or oiled.
- Your lettering stands out clearly on dark surfaces such as doors, furniture fronts or signs. That's thanks to the light beige poplar wood.
- You get clean outlines even with the flowing Magnolia font. Every letter is laser-cut with precision.
Why self-adhesive letters make a difference in everyday life
Wooden lettering looks warmer and more personal than vinyl or print. It turns an empty surface into a place that says something about you. Above the kitchen bench, by the coat rack or at the shop counter. And because you put the text together freely, it says exactly what suits you. Not just whatever happens to be in stock.
Material & finish
The letters are made of 3 mm poplar plywood. They are light enough for the tape to hold them reliably on the wall. And they are sturdy enough for everyday use. Laser cutting creates the typical brown edge, which gives each letter a fine, dark outline. The front stays untreated, so you can finish it as you like. Every letter is made in our own production in Pößneck. Wood is a purely natural material, so every piece turns out a little different. The shade varies, each has its own grain, and some have small knots. That is exactly what makes your wooden lettering one of a kind.

How to use the wooden letters

- In the kitchen or living room: a favourite word as wooden lettering on the wall – and an empty surface becomes your own wall decoration.
- In the shop window or shop: business name, offers or opening hours in wood – your customers see at first glance that care goes into the work here.
- In the café or at the weekly market: label signs and counters – quick to put up, neat results.
- For celebrations: lettering for a wedding, christening or birthday – and the decoration tells guests what the day is about as soon as they walk in.
Good to know about poplar wood
Poplar is one of the lightest native woods. That is exactly why it works so well for self-adhesive letters. The low weight helps the tape hold the letters for good, even on vertical surfaces such as doors and shop windows. At the same time, the light, fine surface takes paint and oil particularly well. That's useful if you want to give your lettering its own colour.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. An occasional dry dusting is enough. Keep the untreated wood away from constant moisture. That way your lettering keeps its light, friendly surface for a long time. If you paint or oil the letters, you can also match them to their spot.
Options & what's included
- Four heights to choose from: 5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm and 20 cm
- Capitals and lower-case letters can be combined freely, each letter is supplied individually, tape already applied to the back
- Important: the height you choose refers to the capital letters. Lower-case letters are made to the scale of the font, so they are shorter. With script fonts the difference is often even more noticeable.
- For one word, order all letters in the same size, even if it starts with a capital. That way capitals and lower-case letters match.
Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or oil the letters? Yes. The front is untreated and can be covered, painted or oiled to suit your interior.
Why are the lower-case letters shorter than the size I chose? The height you choose applies to the capital letters. Lower-case letters are made to the scale of the font. For comparison, using the Arial font at 10 cm: the capital O is 10 cm high, the lower-case a 7.3 cm, the lower-case h 9.7 cm. The lower-case g is 10 cm high but reaches about 2.6 cm below the baseline.
Where does the brown edge on the letters come from? It is created during laser cutting and is typical of this process. It gives each letter a fine, dark outline.
Do I have to stick the letters on? No. Thanks to the 3M tape, you can stick them on directly. They can also be drilled and used for all kinds of decoration.
Do all the letters look the same? Not quite. Wood is a natural material with varying shades, its own grain and the occasional small knot. This is not a defect. It makes every piece of lettering unique.
Plywood and tape are only the means. What counts is the moment your word is on the wall and the room suddenly looks like you. Just choose the size and letters – the tape does the rest.
