With self-adhesive wooden letters in the Sea Garden font, you put your custom text together yourself, character by character. Made to fit your wall. Material & finish

Bütic laser-cuts every letter from light, beige poplar plywood in our own production in Pößneck. Each one has clean contours and the typical brown edge that gives every character a fine outline. The front stays untreated. You can leave it as it is or change the colour to suit the room and occasion. Wood is a purely natural material. Its shade varies, the grain shows different patterns and there may be small knots. That makes every character one of a kind and your lettering unmistakable.

• Our tip on size: For a word or sentence, order all characters in the same height. That way they match neatly. The height you choose applies to capital letters and numbers. Small special characters such as full stop, comma or hyphen are made to the same scale as in the font. So they turn out much smaller. For comparison: in the Arial font, a full stop is only about 1.4 cm at a letter height of 10 cm.

Good to know about poplar wood

Poplar plywood is particularly light and even in colour. That's why it takes paint and oil well and is easy to match to any wall design. If you like the light wood tone, simply leave the letters untreated. It suits almost any interior style, from country house to modern shop fittings.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do: an occasional dry dusting is enough. Avoid constant moisture and wet cleaning. That way the untreated wood keeps its light, friendly surface for a long time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I colour the letters? Yes. The front is untreated and can be painted, oiled or covered. You can also leave it untreated.

How do the letters stay on the wall? There is a clear, high-tack 3M transfer tape on the back. Just press on, done. If you like, you can also drill the characters and screw them on.

Why are the full stop, comma and hyphen so small? Small special characters are made to the same scale as in the font. That's why they are much smaller than the chosen height of the capital letters. Order all characters of a text in the same size, and everything will match.

Do all letters look the same? Not quite. Wood is a natural material with varying shades, grain and small knots. That makes every character one of a kind. It isn't a defect.
