The new house number finally needs to go on the door. The year you opened belongs on the shop wall, the date of birth above the bedroom door – and it should look the part. With self-adhesive wooden numbers and special characters in the Bauhaus93 typeface, you put together your lettering character by character, made to fit your wall. Peel, press, done – and a blank surface becomes lettering in warm-toned wood.

What changes for you

  • You design dates, house numbers or your own text freely – because every number and every special character can be ordered individually.
  • You can put the characters up in a few minutes, without a drill and without sticky residue on your fingers – thanks to the strong, transparent 3M transfer tape on the back.
  • Your lettering stays easy to read even from several metres away – the geometric shapes of Bauhaus93 and the typical brown laser edge create clear outlines.
  • You choose the finish yourself – the untreated front can be painted, oiled or covered.
  • You can turn numbers into whole sentences – matching self-adhesive wooden letters in Bauhaus93 are available separately.

Why these wooden numbers make a difference in everyday life

A printed sticker or a slip of paper on the shelf does the job – but nothing more. Wooden numbers, on the other hand, bring warmth and calm to your wall, your door or the price sign in your shop. The light, beige-tinted natural colour suits almost any setting. And because every character has its own grain, your lettering looks made rather than printed.

Material & finish

Every character is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood in Bütic's own production in Pößneck. The laser cut creates the typical brown edge, which emphasises the outlines of the lettering. It also gives clean edges without fraying. The front is left in its natural state – keep it as it is, or paint, oil or cover it. Wood is a purely natural material: every piece varies in shade, has its own grain and may have small knots. That is exactly what makes each character unique – a feature, not a flaw.

How to use the wooden numbers

  • On your front door: your house number in wood in Bauhaus93 – visitors find you at first glance, and your entrance gets a clear look.
  • For a wedding or christening: the date as lettering above the gift table – and afterwards it stays on the wall as a keepsake.
  • In your shop or café: price signs and offers in wood instead of paper – your counter looks tidy, and the characters are up in a few minutes.
  • For birthdays: birthday numbers on the wall or on the gift table – a simple party becomes a lovingly prepared setting.
  • For crafts and decorating: numbers stuck onto Advent calendars, gift boxes or anniversary decorations – simple things become your own creations.

Good to know about the Bauhaus93 font

Bauhaus93 draws on the design ideas of the Bauhaus movement of the 1920s: clear geometric shapes instead of ornament. This very simplicity makes the characters easy to read even from several metres away – ideal for house numbers, dates and shop signage.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. Indoors, the untreated characters keep looking good for a long time, and an occasional dusting is enough. If you'd like to change the colour or protect the surface, simply paint or oil it – the untreated front takes paint and oil well.

Options & what's included

  • Four heights to choose from: 5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm and 20 cm
  • Each number and each special character is supplied individually – you put together your own text
  • Back already fitted with transparent 3M transfer tape
  • Matching self-adhesive wooden letters in Bauhaus93 available separately

Frequently asked questions

Why are the full stop, comma or minus smaller than the size I chose? The height you choose refers to the numbers. Small special characters are drawn to the scale of the typeface, so they come out much smaller. For a date or a sentence, order all characters in the same size so they match.

Can I screw the characters on instead of sticking them? Yes, you can stick them or drill them – depending on how permanent you want your lettering to be.

Why do the characters have a brown edge? The brown edge is created during laser cutting and is part of the typical look – it emphasises the outlines of the lettering.

Do all the characters look the same? No, wood is a natural material: shade and grain vary, and small knots are normal. This makes every character unique.

Can I finish the surface myself? Yes, the front is untreated and can be covered, painted or oiled.

Plywood and tape are only the starting point. What counts is the moment you step back and your house number, your date or your offer sits on the wall exactly as you pictured it. Simply choose your characters and the right height – peeling and pressing does the rest.

Your legal guarantee rights

EU notice “Legal guarantee”: Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union. Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods do not match the description or do not function as intended. Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer free repair or free replacement; in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement. Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year. For more information on your rights in a specific country, scan the QR code or ask the seller: europa.eu/youreurope/guarantees. What to do if you receive non-conforming goods: 1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue. 2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement. Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
