The new house number finally needs to go on the door. The year belongs on the anniversary decorations, or the table numbers on the buffet. And it should look crafted, not like a kids' craft session. With the self-adhesive wooden numbers and symbols in the Magnolia font, you build your wooden lettering character by character. Peel off the backing, line it up, press it on. The result is wooden lettering for your wall that looks made for your door, your shop window or your laid table.

What changes for you

  • You design house numbers, years or prices exactly the way you want. Every number and every symbol is available on its own, so you can combine them freely.
  • You put up your lettering without any tools. The back has transparent, strong 3M transfer tape.
  • Your text fits your space, from a small door sign to large wall decor. You can choose from four heights between 5 and 20 cm.
  • You can match the colour of the characters to your interior. The untreated front can be painted, oiled or covered.
  • You get clean, even outlines. All characters are laser cut and made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck.

Why self-adhesive wooden numbers make a difference every day

Wooden lettering looks different from vinyl or plastic. It is calmer and more natural. The light beige tone of the poplar plywood suits almost any room. The typical brown laser edge gives each character a fine outline. A simple number on a door, counter or market stall becomes a small design element. It matches the rest of your home or your shop decor.

Material & finish

The characters are made of 3 mm poplar plywood. They are light enough for the tape to hold them securely, yet keep their shape. The front is left untreated. You can use it as it is or decorate it to your taste. Wood is a purely natural material. Every character has its own structure. Some are a little lighter, some a little darker. Small knots or irregularities in the grain are normal. This makes every piece unique – not a flaw, but character.

How to use the wooden numbers

  • At the front door: stick on your new house number in the size you want. Your entrance looks well kept and individual at first glance.
  • For an anniversary or birthday: put the year on wood, card or a gift. Your decorations show straight away what the day is about.
  • In a café or at a party: wooden table numbers instead of paper cards. Your guests find their seats, and the table looks lovingly laid.
  • At a market stall or bakery: wooden price signs on the counter and shelves. They are uniform, easy to read and quick to swap when something changes.
  • In the shop window: a date or promotion number in large 20 cm characters. Passers-by take in your message as they walk past.

Good to know about poplar plywood

Poplar is one of the lightest native woods. You notice the benefit straight away. Even larger numbers stay light enough for the tape to hold them reliably on the wall. The brown edge forms during laser cutting. It is the typical sign of laser-cut wooden characters. It frames every outline and keeps the lettering looking clean, even up close.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. For indoor decor, you can simply use the characters as they arrive. If you want to protect the surface or change the colour, you can paint or oil the untreated front. That way, your lettering stays just as you put it up for a long time.

Options & what's included

  • Available in four heights: 5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm and 20 cm
  • Every number and every symbol is ordered and delivered individually, so you can put together your own text freely
  • Important note on size: the height you choose refers to the numbers. Small symbols such as full stop, comma or minus are scaled to the font and are therefore much smaller. In the Arial font, for example, a full stop at 10 cm is only approx. 1.4 cm in size
  • So for a date, a year or a phrase, order all characters in the same size. That way they match

Frequently asked questions

How do I put the characters up? The back has transparent, strong 3M transfer tape. Peel off the backing, line up the character and press it on. Alternatively, you can drill the characters and screw them on.

Can I paint or oil the characters? Yes. The front is untreated and can be painted, oiled or covered. This lets you match the lettering to your interior.

Why are the full stop, comma and minus smaller than the size I chose? Small symbols are made to the scale of the font, just as they are designed in it. That is why they are much smaller than the number height. This is intentional and keeps the lettering consistent.

Why don't all the characters look the same? Wood is a purely natural material. Colour, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This makes every character unique.

Picture guests standing at your door. Your house number already shows them that someone who cares about detail lives here. Just choose your characters and height. Pressing them on is the easiest part.

Your legal guarantee rights

EU notice “Legal guarantee”: Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union. Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods do not match the description or do not function as intended. Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer free repair or free replacement; in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement. Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year. For more information on your rights in a specific country, scan the QR code or ask the seller: europa.eu/youreurope/guarantees. What to do if you receive non-conforming goods: 1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue. 2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement. Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
