The characters are made of approx. 3 mm thick PLEXIGLAS^® in cream or light grey. They are laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. This gives clean, even edges you can rely on with every single character. Acrylic glass keeps its shape and is much lighter than glass. That makes the characters easy to stick on or mount with drilled holes.

• Note on size: The height you choose refers to the numbers. Small special characters are made to scale with the font, so they are much smaller. In the Arial font, for example, a full stop at a character height of 10 cm is only about 1.4 cm. So for a date or a sentence, order all characters in the same size so they match.

Good to know about acrylic glass

Acrylic glass is known to many by the brand name PLEXIGLAS^®. It is much lighter and more break-resistant than ordinary glass. That is exactly why it works so well for lettering. The characters are easy to stick on or drill. They also hold in places where glass would be too heavy or too fragile, such as on the front door or in the shop window.

Care & durability

There isn't much to do. Wipe them now and then with a soft, damp cloth to keep the characters clean and looking good for a long time. Avoid abrasive cleaners so the surface stays smooth and even.

Why is my special character smaller than the size I chose? The height you choose applies to the numbers. Small characters such as a full stop or comma are made to the scale of the font, so they are much smaller. Order all characters of a text in the same size so they match.

How do I attach the characters? You can stick them on, drill them or use them freely as decoration. It depends on what suits your surface.
