Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A bare patch of wall above the sofa, a craft idea in your head. All that's missing is the right basic shape. This wooden 1/8 circle is made for exactly that. It's a laser-cut plywood cutout. You can paint it, cover it or simply hang it up as it is. It's ready for your next decorating project. And because eight eighths make a complete wooden circle, a small shape can quickly grow into a big idea.
What changes for you
- You can get started straight away instead of sawing and sanding yourself. The eighth circle arrives laser-cut with smooth edges.
- You can design it just the way you like. The untreated wood takes paint, oil or glue with no trouble.
- You get exactly the size that suits your project. The edge length (radius) ranges from 3 to 50 cm, in 1 cm steps.
- You can plan bigger projects with ease. Order the cutout singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- Your wall decoration looks planned rather than thrown together. Lay eight identical eighths into a full circle or play with partial segments.
Why this wooden 1/8 circle makes a difference in everyday life
Geometric shapes bring calm to a room. A wooden circle on the wall looks clean and warm at the same time. With the eighth circle, you decide how far to go. Use a single segment, a semicircle above the chest of drawers or the full circle made of eight pieces. The result is decoration that looks like you, not like something off the shelf.
Material & finish
The cutout is made from 3 mm plywood and is laser-cut. That gives it smooth edges and the typical brown rim, which outlines each piece neatly. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So you can paint, oil or cover it however you like. Wood is a natural material and is never completely uniform. Brightness, grain and small knots vary. That makes every piece unique. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the 1/8 circle
- For the living room wall: paint eight eighths in different colours and lay them into a circle. Now a circle hangs above your sofa that exists nowhere else.
- At the craft table with children: each child decorates their own "slice of cake". At the end, you put everything together into one shared picture.
- As a base shape for decorating: cover the plain cutout with napkin decoupage, fabric or paper. It becomes a small decorative piece for a shelf or windowsill.
- In a shop or café: decorate several segments as seasonal window decoration. They're quick to hang, easy to swap and always look tidy.
- For schools, nurseries or courses: the sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 give every participant the same starting shape. No cutting in advance.
Good to know about the eighth circle
Everyone knows the shape of an eighth circle from cake. A round cake is traditionally cut into eight equal slices. You can use exactly this principle when decorating. Eight segments make a complete circle. Even one missing "slice" creates an interesting, deliberate effect on the wall.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Store the untreated wood in a dry place. Wipe it with a dry cloth when needed. Avoid constant moisture. If you paint or oil the cutout, the surface becomes more resistant and keeps its look for longer.

Frequently asked questions
Has the wood already been treated? No, the cutout is untreated – neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint, oil or cover it as you like.
Where does the brown rim come from? The eighth circle is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown rim. Laser cutting also gives smooth, clean edges.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain. Small knots are normal. Every piece is one of a kind.
Can I lay out a whole circle? Yes. Eight identical eighths make a complete circle, for example for wall decoration or geometric craft projects.
A piece of plywood is only the start. The best part is the moment you step back and see your own idea finished on the wall. Simply choose your edge length and the quantity you need. You design the rest.
