Acrylic clock – neon wall clock, round, fluorescent, 19 cm

Material & finish

The clock disc is made of weatherproof, sturdy acrylic, also known as PLEXIGLAS^®. It keeps its shape and its glow for a long time. We laser-cut every disc ourselves at Bütic, in our own production in Pößneck. This gives clean edges and precise numbers, where the light comes out evenly. The glow effect works all by itself. UV light hitting the acrylic surface is gathered inside it. It then comes out at the edges as bright light.

Good to know about fluorescent acrylic glass

Fluorescent acrylic gathers invisible UV light from daylight across its surface. It releases it at the edges as visible, bright light. That's why the edges glow even on cloudy days. For you, this means: the more daylight reaches the spot on your wall, the stronger the clock glows. A spot near a window makes the edges glow most strongly.

Care & durability

There isn't much to do. Simply wipe the acrylic disc with a soft, slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid abrasive or harsh cleaners. This keeps the surface and the glow in good condition for a long time. The sturdy, weatherproof material will give you many years of use on your wall.
