The numbers are made from 3 mm poplar plywood. They are laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut leaves smooth edges and the typical brown rim, which gives each number a fine outline. Nothing frays, and nothing needs sanding. The wood is untreated, with no varnish or glaze. Paint, glue and oil adhere particularly well to it. Wood is a purely natural material. Differences in shade, fine structures in the grain or small knots are not flaws. They make every piece unique.
