Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A safari evening in the children's room, African-themed decorations for a party or a new craft project at the kitchen table – sometimes all that's missing is the right motif. This wooden African tree brings the silhouette of the savannah into your home. It's made for your own ideas: untreated, smoothly laser-cut and ready to paint, cover or decorate. That's how a plain wooden cutout becomes exactly the decoration you have in mind.
What changes for you
- You can design it just the way you like – because the wood is untreated and can be painted, oiled or covered.
- Your motif always fits your project, thanks to widths from 5 cm to 50 cm in 1 cm steps – from a small table scatter tree to a large wall decoration.
- You don't need to saw or sand anything. The laser cut gives smooth edges and a clean outline.
- Crafting with children can stay relaxed – the shape is already cut out, so all that's left is painting to your heart's content.
- For bigger projects you stay flexible. You can order the tree individually or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
Why this wooden tree makes a difference in everyday life
Ready-made decorations look the same everywhere – a wooden cutout you design yourself carries your own signature. On the party table, in a shop window display or as a craft project on a rainy afternoon: the distinctive tree silhouette can be painted, covered and designed however you like. That's exactly the difference between decoration and something that really suits you.
Material & finish
The tree is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood and has the typical brown edge that brings out the outline. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed – so paints, glue and oils adhere reliably. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, with careful workmanship. And because wood is a purely natural material, every piece turns out slightly different. Some are lighter, some darker, each with its own grain and sometimes small knots. That makes every piece one of a kind – not a flaw, but character.

How to use the wooden African tree
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own tree – and in the end there's a whole savannah on the windowsill.
- For an Africa-themed party: spread several sizes across the buffet table – and your guests are in the mood as soon as they walk in.
- As wall or shelf decoration: a large tree, 50 cm wide, left natural or oiled. The flat wooden silhouette can lean against the wall or stand on a shelf.
- In a shop or café: as part of your shop window or counter display, you can set up a consistent theme in just a few steps. The sets of 25, 50 or 100 pieces are enough for larger displays too.
- For school, nursery or craft groups: thanks to the set sizes, every participant gets their own blank – without you having to do any sawing.
Good to know about the African tree
The wide, spreading crown shown in this silhouette is best known from the umbrella acacias of the African savannah. Hardly any motif stands for wide open spaces and adventure like this tree against the evening sky. That's why the cutout suits not only a safari-themed children's room, but also themed evenings, travel memories and any decoration inspired by faraway places.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do: store the untreated cutout in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. That way the wood keeps its shape and its natural look for a long time. If you paint or oil the tree, you give the surface extra protection.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or cover the tree? Yes. The plywood is untreated and neither varnished nor glazed – you can paint, oil, cover or decorate it however you like.
Where does the brown edge come from? The tree is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge that brings out the silhouette – the edges are smooth and don't need any finishing.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, the wood isn't: as a natural material, it varies in shade and shows its own grain, sometimes small knots too. This makes every piece one of a kind.
Which size suits my project? You choose the width between 5 cm and 50 cm in 1 cm steps – small trees work well for table decorations and table scatter, large ones for wall or window decorations.
What counts is the moment a plain piece of wood becomes your very own savannah – painted, glued and designed together. Just choose your size and get started.
