Your best friend's birthday is coming up. She has a dog. The craft table is ready – only the right motif is missing. This wooden German Shepherd is made for moments like this. It is a clear plywood silhouette. You can paint it, decorate it or simply stand it up as it is. A plain cutout becomes a door sign, a gift tag or a small gift that makes dog lovers smile.

What changes for you

  • You can start crafting straight away, with no sawing. The silhouette arrives laser-cut with smooth edges.
  • Your project gets exactly the right size, from gift tag to wall picture. You choose the width from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You design it just the way you want. The untreated wood takes paint, varnish, oil or glue with no preparation.
  • Bigger projects are easy to plan, such as crafting with children or a club party. You can order the German Shepherd singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
  • You give something with character. The laser-cut brown edge gives each figure a fine, finished outline.

Why this wooden German Shepherd makes a difference in everyday life

A motif made of real wood feels different from printed paper or plastic. The surface has a pleasant grip. The grain is visible and you can feel the weight. On a present, on the front door or on an Advent arrangement, the clear dog silhouette stands out without taking over. And because you do the designing yourself, you end up with something that exists only once.

Material & finish

The German Shepherd is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood in our own production in Pößneck. The laser cut gives clean, smooth edges. It also creates the typical brown edge that outlines the silhouette. So you can pick up the figure and start designing right away. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That is why it takes paint and glue reliably. As a natural material, it varies in shade and shows fine structures in the grain. Now and then you may find small knots. This is not a flaw. It is exactly what makes each piece one of a kind.

How to use the wooden German Shepherd

  • Crafting with children: Each child paints their own dog – and proudly takes home a keepsake they made themselves.
  • As a gift tag: Write a name on it and tie it to the parcel – and the present for the dog lover feels personal before it is even unwrapped.
  • Money gift ideas: Attach the note to the wooden dog – and a plain envelope becomes a loving surprise towards the new puppy.
  • As a door sign: Choose a larger width, then paint it and add lettering – and visitors know at the front door who is waiting inside with a wagging tail.
  • DIY Christmas decorations: Small silhouettes on a branch or in an arrangement – and your decorations quietly tell the story of your four-legged family member.
  • For dog schools, vets or pet shops: With a set of 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you can make name tags, customer gifts or counter decorations in one go. They are uniform, quick to make and made of real wood.

Good to know about the German Shepherd

For well over a hundred years, the German Shepherd has been one of the best-known dog breeds of all. It is a loyal companion, herding dog and working dog. That is exactly why its silhouette works so well as a motif. People recognise it instantly. It suits gifts for dog owners as well as club parties, dog sport awards or decorations at the dog club.

Care & durability

There is not much you need to do. Stored dry, the wood keeps its natural look for a long time. Avoid constant damp and wet, as the wood is untreated. If you paint, oil or varnish it, you protect the surface. At the same time, you decide on the look.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wood treated? No, the plywood is left natural – neither varnished nor stained. You can paint, decorate, coat or oil it straight away.

Where does the brown edge come from? The German Shepherd is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge. It frames the silhouette neatly and is part of the character of the cutout.

Why do the cutouts look different? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This makes every cutout one of a kind.

Is the figure suitable for outdoor use? Untreated, it belongs in dry places. With a suitable paint or varnish, you can prepare it for sheltered outdoor spots.

A wooden cutout can create a special moment. Someone spots the little dog tag on their present. And they know straight away: this was made for me. Just choose your width and quantity – and get started.
