Why this wooden Dharma wheel makes a difference in everyday life
A symbol you've designed yourself feels different from off-the-shelf decor. It shows that you took your time. In a meditation or yoga room, the wheel hangs quietly on the wall. In the living area, the clear, geometric symbol stands out among other objects. And because you choose the size and design yourself, it fits into your room rather than dominating it.
Material & finish
The Dharma wheel is made of 3 mm poplar plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck. This gives it smooth edges with the typical, slightly brown laser edge. This edge comes from the process and gives the motif a clear outline. The wood is completely untreated, so it is neither varnished nor glazed. Paints, glues and oils adhere well, and the natural surface is pleasant to the touch. Wood is a purely natural material. Differences in lightness, fine structures in the grain and small knots are normal. This is exactly what makes each piece unique – it is not a defect.

- As a gift idea: Decorate the symbol in the recipient's favourite colours. It's a small token that says more than a card.
- In a yoga studio or course room: With a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, you can supply workshops or decorate in a uniform style. There's no need to buy each piece separately.
- For seasonal decor: Combine the wheel with twigs, fairy lights or dried flowers. Your shelf then looks lovingly arranged rather than randomly decorated.
Good to know about the Dharma wheel
In Buddhism, the wheel – "Chakra" in Sanskrit – stands for the teachings of the Buddha. It is one of the best-known symbols of this tradition. That's why the motif works especially well as wall decor in yoga and meditation rooms. It is also a good craft motif for anyone interested in mindfulness and Buddhism.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the untreated wood in a dry place and avoid constant moisture. This keeps the surface stable and attractive for a long time. If you paint or oil the wheel, you protect it further. You also choose the colour and surface finish to suit your taste.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wood treated? No, the poplar plywood is untreated – neither varnished nor glazed. So you can paint, decorate, coat or oil it straight away.
Why is the edge brown? The Dharma wheel is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge with smooth sides. It is part of the process and gives the motif a clear outline.
How do height and width relate? Height and width are the same. For example, if you choose a height of 10 cm, the wheel is also 10 cm wide.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, but the wood isn't. As a natural material, it shows differences in lightness and grain, and sometimes small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.
A wooden cutout is only the beginning. What counts is the moment you hang up the Dharma wheel you designed yourself, and the room feels a little calmer. Just choose your size – single or as a set – and get started.
