Why this wooden dragon makes a difference in everyday life
A ready-cut shape takes care of the hardest part for you: the sawing. Instead of fiddling with templates and saws, you go straight to the fun part – decorating. A vague craft idea turns into a relaxed afternoon. At the end, everyone proudly holds their own dragon. In a child's bedroom or on a gift, the light poplar plywood with its visible grain clearly stands out from plastic materials.
Material & finish
The dragon is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. It has the typical fine brown edge. This is a familiar feature of laser-cut wooden shapes and gives the dragon extra definition. The top shows the face, scored into the wood. The underside is left natural. The wood is neither varnished nor glazed, and the finish is clean. Wood is a natural material. It can be lighter or darker and may show small knots or irregularities in the grain. This makes every piece unique. The dragon is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

- On a gift: A small dragon as a tag on the parcel. Even before unwrapping, it's clear that someone wrapped it with love.
- At nursery, school or after-school club: With a set of 25, 50 or 100, you can equip a whole group. Everyone starts with the same shape, and every result is different.
- In the shop window or at the counter: Several dragons in different sizes, arranged in tiers. This display is quick to set up and catches the eye of young and older customers alike.
Good to know about dragons
In Chinese culture, the dragon has been a symbol of luck, strength and protection for centuries. That's quite different from the Western mythical creature of knightly tales. This double role makes the shape so rewarding. It suits a themed birthday party and a child's bedroom just as well as a small lucky charm you give as a gift.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the untreated dragon in a dry place and protect it from constant moisture. That way, the natural wood keeps its shape and look for a long time. If you want a more durable surface, simply paint or oil it after decorating.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the dragon or stick things on it? Yes. The wood is untreated. You can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or decorate it in other ways – ideal for crafts and decorating.
Why does the dragon have a brown edge? The dragon is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge along the cut edges. It is part of the process and gives the shape extra definition.
Can the face be seen on both sides? No. The outlines and face are scored into the top. The underside is left natural.
Are colour differences in the wood normal? Yes. Wood is a natural material and varies in shade. Small knots or irregularities in the grain can occur. This makes every piece unique.
What really matters is the moment your child holds up their finished, painted dragon. And wants to hang it up straight away. Just choose your width and quantity. The rest happens at your craft table.
