- Group projects are easy to plan. The pterosaur comes single or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces. Use them for crafting with children at nursery or at a birthday party, for example.
- You hold a piece of honest natural material in your hands. It has smooth edges. The typical warm-toned laser edge defines the outline of the design.
Why this wooden pterosaur makes a difference every day
Ready-made plastic decorations look the same everywhere. A pterosaur you have decorated yourself tells a little story. Hang it in the window, on a gift ribbon or as a garland above the cot. The wood brings a calm, natural feel to the room. Every painted piece shows the hand of the person who decorated it. A simple cutout becomes something you like to look at and don't want to take down again.
Material & finish
The pterosaur is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. That is why the edges are smooth and won't give anyone splinters. The laser also leaves the typical brown edge that brings out the silhouette. The top side has the scored outline with the funny face. The underside is left natural. The wood is neither varnished nor glazed. That is why paint and glue stick reliably. As a natural material, it can be lighter or darker. It may show small knots or irregularities in the grain. This makes every piece one of a kind. The cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the pterosaur
- At a dinosaur-themed children's party: every child paints their own pterosaur. At the end, they take home a souvenir they made themselves.
- In the children's room: thread several sizes onto a string. This makes a garland or a mobile that turns above the bed.
- As gift decoration: tie a small pterosaur to the ribbon. Before unwrapping, the recipient knows that someone put thought into it.
- At nursery, school or craft group: with sets from 10 pieces, you have identical blanks for the whole group. Craft with children without any cutting or preparation.
- In shops: in the shop window, at the toy counter or for a theme week. At up to 50 cm wide, it is big enough to be noticed from the street.
Good to know about the pterosaur
Strictly speaking, pterosaurs were not dinosaurs at all. They were a separate group of flying reptiles from the same prehistoric era. Young dino fans love to show off this fact. Luckily, it makes no difference for decorating. The flyer fits into any dinosaur collection. It works just as well above the craft table as between the toy figures on the shelf.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Kept dry, the cutout keeps its shape and light look for a long time. As the wood is untreated, avoid constant moisture. Coating or oiling the design gives the surface extra protection. It also brings out the grain of the wood.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the pterosaur? Yes. The plywood is untreated and takes paint well. You can paint it, glue things onto it, coat it or oil it.
Are both sides designed? No. The top side has the contour scoring with the face and lines. The underside is left natural.
Where does the brown edge come from? The cutout is laser-cut. The brown edge is created during cutting and is part of the typical look. The edges are smooth.
Do all cutouts look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood not quite. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain. Small knots are normal and make every piece one of a kind.
Picture the moment a child holds up their finished pterosaur. They want to hang it in the window straight away. Just choose your width and quantity. Brush and imagination do the rest.
