A hint of the sea in your window. A holiday memory on the wall. A nautical craft project with the kids. Sometimes all you need is one small motif to bring it all together. This flying wooden seagull is made for exactly that. It's a clean silhouette that you can paint, decorate or simply hang up in natural wood. Wooden seagulls like this one are ideal for your next coastal project – on their own or as a whole flock.

What changes for you

  • You bring the seaside feeling home without a long search – the wooden seagull arrives as a finished silhouette, ready to use straight away.
  • You design it just the way you like – the wood is untreated and can be painted, oiled, covered or decorated with stickers and paper.
  • You'll find the right size for every project – from 3 cm for greetings cards to 50 cm for the wall, in 1 cm steps.
  • Your craft evening is more relaxed – the smooth, laser-cut edges mean there's no sanding needed.
  • You can kit out larger projects in one go – the seagull comes singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.

Why this wooden seagull makes a difference every day

A flying seagull instantly speaks of sea, wind and open skies. It brings that calm lightness into your home. In the window, on a branch or on a card, the silhouette is quietly there without taking over. It creates a calm coastal mood. And because you choose the size and design yourself, it fits your decorations – not the other way round.

Material & finish

The seagull is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it the typical warm brown edge that traces the shape. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. So you can pick up the motif and start decorating right away. Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That makes every wooden seagull one of a kind. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use your wooden seagull

  • For the window: Hang several seagulls of different sizes on fine threads – and a little flock flies through your living room.
  • Crafting with kids: Make and paint a flying seagull. Every child designs their own bird. In the end, a colourful coastal mobile hangs in the room.
  • On greetings cards and gifts: Stick on a small seagull – and a plain card becomes a seaside greeting to remember.
  • In a café or fish shop: Place seagulls in the window display or above the counter. Your shop gets a clear coastal theme that appeals to customers walking by.
  • For events and celebrations: At a christening, wedding or nautical beach party, the silhouettes create a consistent motif on tables and walls. Setting up takes very little effort.

Good to know about the seagull

The seagull has long been a symbol of the coast, freedom and wanderlust. Hardly any other motif brings back the feeling of sea and holidays so directly. That's why the wooden seagull suits classic nautical decorations. It also works for holiday memories, beach weddings and anywhere you want a bit of seaside feeling.

Care & durability

There isn't much you need to do. Keep the untreated wooden seagull dry and away from constant moisture. This way the natural material keeps its shape and its look for a long time. If you paint or oil it, you decide how durable and colourful the surface becomes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the seagull? Yes. The plywood is untreated. You can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or decorate it in other ways.

Why does the seagull have a brown edge? The silhouette is laser-cut. The brown edge forms during cutting and is typical of this technique.

How tall is the seagull at my chosen width? As a guide: at 10 cm wide, it is 4 cm tall. The proportions stay the same for all sizes.

Do all the seagulls look the same? The shape is identical, but the wood isn't. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain and sometimes has small knots. Every piece is one of a kind.

Is the seagull available in larger quantities? Yes. As well as single pieces, you can order sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100 – for events, shop displays or craft groups, for example.

What really counts is more than a plywood silhouette. It's the moment you open your window. The seagulls sway gently in the breeze – and your home looks a little like the coast. Simply choose your size and quantity.
