The children's room needs a little adventure. The craft table is set, and the brushes and paints are ready. Now all that's missing is the right motif. This flying wooden dragon is made for your next crafting afternoon. It's a clear plywood silhouette. You can paint it, decorate it or simply hang it up unfinished, just as you like. A plain cutout becomes a small piece of fantasy on a wall, a window or a gift.

What changes for you

  • You can start right away, with no sawing or sanding. The wooden dragon is already laser-cut and has smooth edges.
  • Your decoration fits its spot exactly, from a small gift tag to a large wall motif. You can choose any width from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You design the motif just the way you like. The untreated wood takes paint, oil and glue easily.
  • You save time and money on larger projects. Order the dragon singly or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
  • You're holding a real piece of craftsmanship. Every cutout is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

Why this wooden dragon makes a difference every day

A finished motif in a natural material changes the mood of a room. Instead of smooth plastic decorations, something warm and lively hangs on your wall or window. When crafting with children, the ready-made cutout saves you the tedious preparation. You can focus fully on decorating it together. And because you choose the size, the dragon fits your project. You don't have to adapt your project to the decoration.

Material & finish

The dragon is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge, which creates a clear outline. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. So you can pick up the cutout and work with it straight away. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. This leaves it open for anything: painting, oiling, decorating or leaving it natural. Wood is a natural material and never completely uniform. Differences in shade, fine grain structures and small knots are normal. They make each piece unique and are not a defect.

How to use the wooden dragon

  • At a crafting afternoon with children: each child paints their own wooden dragon. At the end, they proudly take their self-designed mythical creature home.
  • In the children's room: hang several dragons in different sizes on the wall. Now a small flock flies above the bed.
  • On a gift: tie a small dragon to ribbon and brown paper as a tag. The parcel looks decorated from the outside, even before it's opened.
  • For a themed party or a child's birthday: write on them and use them as table decorations or place cards. The theme runs across the whole table.
  • In a shop window, after-school club or nursery: with sets of 10 or more, you can equip whole groups or decorate a display area. You get consistent quality, quick set-up and a uniform look.

Good to know about dragons

The dragon is one of the oldest mythical creatures of all. In European legends, it guards treasure. In Chinese culture, it is a symbol of good luck and strength. That's why the motif suits so many occasions. Use it for a knight-themed birthday, fantasy decorations or a handmade good-luck gift.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do. A dry cloth is enough to remove dust. The plywood is untreated, so it's best to store the dragon somewhere dry. Protect it from constant moisture. This way it keeps its shape and natural look for a long time. If you want to display it outdoors or in damper rooms, paint or oil it first.

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the dragon? Yes. The wood is untreated. You can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or decorate it however you like.

Why does the dragon have a brown edge? The cutout is laser-cut. The brown edge is a natural result of this. It also gives smooth edges and a clear outline.

Do all the dragons look exactly the same? The shape is identical, but the wood isn't. As a natural material, it shows differences in shade and grain, and sometimes small knots. This makes each piece unique.

How tall is the dragon? The height depends on the width you choose. For reference: at a width of 10 cm, the dragon is 5.5 cm tall.

Picture the moment your child holds up their freshly painted dragon. They'd love to send it flying straight away. Simply choose your size and quantity – you design the rest.
