Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The children's party is coming up. The invitations are on the table. But one personal detail is still missing. A wooden flying unicorn that you paint, decorate or cover in glitter with your child turns every card and decoration into something one of a kind. It's made for your craft table: natural, smoothly laser-cut and in exactly the size you need.
What changes for you
- You can start crafting straight away, with no sanding or preparation. The edges are cleanly laser-cut and the wood is smooth.
- Your shape always suits the project, from a small card decoration to a large wall decoration in the children's room. You can choose the width from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can decorate it just as you like, whether painted, oiled or with things stuck on. The wood is untreated and takes paint well.
- You can recognise the unicorn at a glance, even before it's painted. The top has fine laser-scored outlines that draw the mane and wings.
- You can get larger quantities for a children's party or craft group with no extra effort. Simply order a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this flying unicorn makes a difference every day
A flying unicorn above the child's bed, on the windowsill or on the party table brings a bit of fantasy into the room straight away. And there's no garish plastic look. Because the shape is made of wood, it looks warm and calm and fits in with any décor. And if your child has painted it themselves, it isn't just a decoration on the wall. It's a little memory.
Material & finish
The flying unicorn is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. It has the finely browned edge typical of laser cutting, which frames the shape naturally. The outlines on the top are drawn with laser scoring. The back is left natural. The wood is neither varnished nor glazed, so you can paint, oil or decorate it straight away. Every piece is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, and is carefully finished. Wood is a natural material, so every unicorn turns out a little different. Some are lighter, some darker, with small textures or knots in the grain. That's what makes each piece one of a kind.

How to use the flying unicorn
- Crafting with children before the party: each child paints their own unicorn. At the end, they take home a keepsake they designed themselves.
- On invitations to a unicorn party: stick on a small shape. The card stands out as soon as it lands in the letterbox.
- In the children's room: a large painted unicorn on the wall or in the window. The room has its centrepiece.
- For crafting money gifts: use the unicorn to hold a banknote and a bow. The envelope becomes a lovingly made gift.
- In a café or shop: combine several sizes in a window display or on a children's party table. Quick to arrange and all in the same style.
Good to know about the unicorn
Since the Middle Ages, the unicorn has been a symbol of purity and goodness. Today it's best known as a mythical creature from children's books. That's why the shape suits children's parties, children's rooms and invitations so well. It fits wherever a little magic is wanted.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. As the wood is untreated, an occasional wipe with a dry cloth is enough. Avoid constant damp and wet. If the unicorn is going to hang outside, a coat of varnish or oil protects the natural material and keeps it looking good for a long time.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the unicorn? Yes. The wood is untreated. You can paint, oil, stick things on or decorate it in other ways.
Are both sides the same? No. The top has the laser-scored outlines. The back is left natural and has no outlines.
Why do the unicorns look different? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This is normal and makes every shape unique.
Where does the brown edge come from? The shape is laser-cut. The finely browned edge is typical of this cutting method and gives clean, smooth edges.
Is the unicorn suitable for outdoor use? Untreated, it belongs indoors. For outdoor use, protect it from moisture with varnish or oil.
What counts is the moment your child proudly hangs their self-painted unicorn on the wall. And you know the afternoon at the craft table was time well spent. Just choose your size and quantity. You'll design the rest together.
