The edges are smooth and pleasant to hold. The wood is left untreated, so it is neither varnished nor glazed. This means it takes paint, glue and oil well. As a natural material, every piece shows its own grain, slight colour differences and occasionally small knots. This is not a flaw. It is what makes every reindeer one of a kind.
