Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.A rainy afternoon. The craft table is set with brushes and paints. All you need now is the hairdryer shape. This hairdryer silhouette made of 3 mm plywood is ready for your next crafting session. It is untreated, has smooth laser-cut edges and comes in the width you choose. You pick up the cutout and reach for your brush. And the simple shape becomes a piece of decoration you made yourself.
What changes for you
- You can start painting, gluing or oiling straight away. The wood comes untreated in its natural state and takes any paint well.
- Your shape fits your project exactly. Use it as a small scatter piece on a greetings card or as a large wall decoration. You can choose any width from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You don't need to sand anything and can keep working comfortably. The laser-cut edges are smooth and pleasant to handle.
- You get a handmade look. The typical brown edge from laser cutting neatly frames the outline.
- You're also ready for bigger plans, such as take-home gifts when crafting with children or decoration for a hair salon. The cutout is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden hairdryer makes a difference every day
Shop-bought decoration often looks generic. A shape you have designed yourself tells a little story. The clearly recognisable hairdryer silhouette gets your theme across directly: hair, styling, bathroom, salon. A voucher becomes a greeting from you. A plain wall gets a piece you made yourself. And you get the good feeling of having made it with your own hands.
Material & finish
The cutout is made of 3 mm plywood. It is laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. It is neatly finished, with smooth edges that won't scratch your fingers. The wood is completely untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. That's why it reliably takes paint, wood glaze, oil and glue. As a natural material, each cutout has its own shade and grain. Small knots may occur. This makes every piece unique and is not a defect.

How to use the wooden hairdryer
- Crafting with children: each child paints their own hairdryer. At the end, a colourful gallery hangs on the bathroom door.
- As gift decoration: put a small hairdryer on a voucher for a hairdresser's visit. The recipient knows what it's about before opening it.
- As a homemade gift: once you've written on it and decorated it, the cutout becomes a heartfelt greeting. For example, when you want to make a Mother's Day gift that is truly handmade.
- In the hair salon: arrange several sizes on the wall or in the shop window. Your customers will recognise your theme at first glance.
- For scrapbooking and cards: the small widths work well as scatter pieces or appliqués. Your greetings card gets a third dimension you can feel.
Good to know about the hairdryer
The German word “Fön” was originally a brand name. It comes from “Föhn”, the warm downslope wind of the Alps. Because the hairdryer is so familiar, everyone recognises the silhouette at a glance. That makes the cutout a clear shape for salon decoration, bathrooms and gifts on the theme of hair.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Simply store the untreated wood in a dry place and protect it from constant moisture. It will then keep its natural look for a long time. If you paint, oil or varnish it, the surface becomes even more resistant.

Frequently asked questions
