Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The nativity scene is set up and the candles are lit. And yet one figure is still missing to give the scene its meaning. With this wooden king silhouette in poplar plywood, you bring the Three Wise Men into your home. It comes in natural wood, in the height you choose, and ready for your own design – just right for your Christmas decorations. Painted, decorated or simply left as natural wood: the Holy King V1 fits into nativity scenes, window pictures and Advent wreaths.
What changes for you
- You design the king exactly the way you imagine it. The wood is untreated, so you can paint it, decorate it, brush on a coat or oil it.
- Your decoration always fits the space you have. Choose any height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps, from a small card to a large window decoration.
- You can start crafting straight away. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so there is no sanding or sawing.
- Larger projects are easy to supply too. You can order the king individually or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces, for example for a craft group or a children's church service.
Why this wooden king makes a difference in everyday life
A nativity scene only feels complete once the kings are on their way. And a figure you have decorated yourself tells more than any shop-bought one. The clear silhouette brings calm to your Christmas decorations. It still leaves your imagination plenty of room: subtly natural or brightly painted. Year after year, it becomes a piece that belongs to your home.
Material & finish
The king is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. This gives it the typical brown edge, which creates a fine, clear outline. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. You can pick up the figure and start decorating right away. Every piece is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Wood is a purely natural material. Differences in shade, fine structures in the grain and small knots are normal. They make each piece unique, not faulty.

- Crafting with children: each child paints their own king. At the end, they proudly take home a figure they designed themselves.
- On cards and wreaths: stick small kings onto home-made Christmas cards or into your Advent wreath. It's a loving detail that recipients and guests spot straight away.
- In a shop or café: with a set, you can decorate the counter, shop window or tables in a consistent Christmas style. It's quick to set up and comes in the right size for any space.
About the Three Kings
The Three Wise Men – traditionally known as Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar – have their own feast day on 6 January: Epiphany, or Three Kings' Day. In many places, the nativity scene stays up until this day. Star singers go from house to house. So the silhouette doesn't just belong under the Christmas tree. It stays with your decorations through the whole Christmas season and into January.
Care & durability
There isn't much you need to do. Store the untreated king in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. That way, the natural wood keeps its shape and you can enjoy it for many Christmases. After the holidays, simply pack it away carefully and bring it out again next year.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the king? Yes. The wood is untreated and takes paint, glue or oil well. You can also brush on a coat or leave it natural.
Where does the brown edge come from? The king is laser-cut, which creates the typical brown laser edge. The edges are smooth and don't need sanding.
Do all the figures look the same? The shape is identical for all of them. As a natural material, the wood itself varies slightly in shade and grain. This makes each piece unique.
How wide is the figure? The width depends on the height you choose. At a height of 10 cm, it is 4.5 cm wide.
A wooden silhouette is only the start. What matters is the moment the nativity scene stands complete in front of you. A king you decorated yourself makes the Christmas room your own. Simply choose the height you want – single or as a set.
