With the Holy King V3 wooden cutout, you can design your nativity scene exactly the way you picture it. Paint it, decorate it or leave it as plain natural wood. The silhouette is made of 3 mm poplar plywood. It is available in any height from 5 to 50 cm. So it fits your nativity scene, whether it stands on the windowsill or under the Christmas tree.
What changes for you
- You get exactly the size that suits your nativity scene or Christmas decorations. You choose any height between 5 and 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can start painting, gluing or oiling straight away. The wood is untreated and takes paint and glue well.
- Your figure looks neat from the very start. The laser cut gives it smooth edges. The typical brown edge outlines the silhouette.
- You can supply larger craft groups without having to reorder. The king is available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden king makes a difference in everyday life
A figure you have designed yourself says more than any ready-made decoration. When the king stands in the window or completes the nativity scene, you can tell that someone made it with time and enjoyment. Your Christmas decorations show your own hand. And the crafting itself becomes a cosy part of Advent, on your own or with children at the kitchen table.
Material & finish
The king is laser-cut from 3 mm poplar plywood. That is why it has smooth edges and the characteristic brown edge that makes the silhouette stand out clearly. The wood stays untreated. It is neither varnished nor glazed. So you can paint, oil or decorate it as you like. As a natural material, every piece shows its own grain. Some are lighter, some darker, and some have small knots. This makes every figure one of a kind. The cutout is made in our own production at Bütic in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the Holy King
- In the nativity scene: you add the Three Kings in the right size. All the figures then stand together on the same scale.
- Crafting with children: every child paints their own king. In the end, a whole row of kings stands on the windowsill, and everyone is proud of it.
- In the window or on the Advent table: one large silhouette is enough. People will notice it, and you don't need elaborate decorations.
- In a bakery or shop window: arrange several sizes in steps. In a few minutes you have a Christmas scene that makes customers stop and look.
- For nurseries, schools or parishes: with sets of 10 or more, you can supply a whole group. Everyone gets the same basic shape. Every result turns out different.
About the Three Kings
The Three Kings have been part of Christmas tradition for centuries. Their feast day on 6 January marks the end of the Christmas season in many places. That is when carol singers write the blessing “C+M+B” on the doors. So the king doesn't just belong under the Christmas tree. It can stay part of your decorations from Advent until Epiphany.
Care & durability
There isn't much to do. Store the figure in a dry place and keep it away from constant moisture. Then it will last for many years. Once painted or oiled, you can bring the king out again year after year.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or decorate the king? Yes. The poplar plywood is untreated. You can paint it, oil it, glue things on or decorate it with your own ideas.
Why does the figure have a brown edge? The king is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge. It comes from the cutting process and emphasises the silhouette.
Do all figures look the same? The shape is always identical, but the wood is not. As a natural material, it varies in shade and grain and sometimes has small knots. This is not a flaw. It makes every piece unique.
How wide is the figure? The width depends on the height you choose. For reference: at a height of 10 cm, the king is 6 cm wide.
Think of the evening your nativity scene is complete – with a king you designed yourself. Simply choose your height and quantity, and Advent can begin.
