The numbers are made from 3 mm poplar plywood. They are laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. That is where the typical fine brown line along the edges comes from, which outlines every shape. The surface is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. So you can stick things on the numbers, paint them, coat them or oil them, just as you want your calendar to look. Wood is a purely natural material. Brightness, grain and small knots therefore vary from piece to piece. This is not a flaw – it makes every number unique.
