Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Valentine's Day is getting closer and the card is ready. But one small detail is still missing to make it special. This wooden Cupid is made for exactly that craft idea. It is a finely laser-cut Cupid silhouette in plywood. You can paint it, stick things on it or simply use it as it is. Use it on a greeting card, on a present or as table decoration for a wedding. The winged messenger of love turns something homemade into something personal.
What changes for you
- You design cards, presents and table decorations just the way you want. The wood is untreated, so you can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or leave it natural.
- Your motif always suits your project, from delicate card decorations to large wall decorations. You choose the width freely from 3 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
- It's easy to work with and needs no finishing. The laser-cut edges are smooth, so there's nothing to sand.
- You have enough in stock for larger projects. You can order the Cupid individually or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
Why this wooden Cupid cutout makes a difference in everyday life
Homemade things feel special when the material is real. A wooden Cupid feels heavier in your hand than paper or plastic. On a card, a present or a festive table, it lasts in a way those materials can't. A quick craft turns into a small piece that people like to pick up. And it doesn't end up in the bin straight after the celebration.
Material & finish
The Cupid is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. That is why it has smooth edges and the typical brown rim, which gives the motif a finely drawn outline. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. It takes paint, glue and oils well. Wood is a purely natural material, so every piece turns out a little differently. Each one varies in shade and has its own grain, sometimes with small knots. This makes every Cupid unique. It is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

How to use the wooden Cupid
- For Valentine's Day: A small Cupid on the greeting card or on the gift ribbon. Your Valentine's present shows the effort you've made before it's even unwrapped.
- For homemade money gifts: The Cupid symbolically holds the envelope or decorates the picture frame. A plain banknote becomes a loving surprise for a wedding.
- Crafting with children: Each child paints their own Cupid. And at the end, Mum or Dad holds a homemade keepsake.
- On the wedding table: One motif at each place setting or on the menu card. Your guests discover a consistent theme as soon as they sit down.
- In a café, florist's or at the counter: Combine several sizes in the shop window or on the cake display. Your Valentine's decoration is up in a few minutes. You can reuse it every year.
Good to know about Cupid
Cupid – called Eros by the Greeks, later also Cupido – is the god of love in Roman mythology. According to legend, his arrows make hearts fall for each other. Hardly any motif stands for being in love as clearly as the winged archer. That makes him a fitting symbol for Valentine's Day, engagements and weddings.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Stored in a dry place, the untreated Cupid keeps its natural look for a long time. Avoid constant moisture. If you paint, varnish or oil the motif, the surface becomes more resistant. Then you can bring the decoration out again year after year.

Why don't all the cutouts look the same? Wood is a purely natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. This is not a flaw. It makes every Cupid unique.
