Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong. The present is wrapped and the ribbon is tied. Now it just needs a name. That is exactly what these wooden tags are made for. They are small labels in dog-tag format, made from untreated plywood. You can write on them, paint them or stamp them. That way every parcel, every jar of homemade treats and every place at the table gets a name.
What changes for you
- Your presents feel more personal with very little effort. Simply write on the tag and attach it with a ribbon through the hole.
- You can decorate them however you like: paint, stick, oil or stamp. The wood is untreated and left natural.
- You will find the right size for every purpose, from a small label to a large sign. There are 19 sizes from 2 x 1 cm to 20 x 10 cm.
- You always have enough in stock, whether for a craft project or a whole wedding table. Choose sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
- You can thread ribbon or cord through without fiddling. There is a ready-made 3 mm hole on the long top edge.
Why these wooden tags make a difference every day
A handwritten wooden label says more than any printed sticker. It shows that you have put some thought into it. Use it on a gift ribbon, on a jam jar or as a name tag on a festive table. Pen, paint and stamps adhere evenly to the untreated plywood. The wood itself stays in the background visually. And because you decide what goes on it, a simple cutout becomes your very own label.
Material & finish
The tags are made from 3 mm plywood. They are laser-cut in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. The laser cut gives smooth edges that do not fray. They feel pleasant in your hand and are neatly finished. The fine brown edge is typical of laser-cut wooden parts and frames each tag naturally. The wood is untreated, neither varnished nor stained. Paints, pens and glue adhere well, and you work on a plain natural surface. Wood is a natural material, so the shade and grain vary from piece to piece. Small knots are included. This makes every tag one of a kind, not faulty.

How to use the wooden tags
- For Christmas or birthdays: write the name on the tag and thread the ribbon through the hole. Every present under the tree finds its recipient without any guesswork.
- For homemade treats: jam, liqueur or biscuits get a labelled tag on the jar. Your gift instantly looks lovingly made.
- On a wedding or party table: place a tag as a name card at every seat. Your guests find their seats. And because all the tags are made from the same plywood, your table decoration looks consistent.
- Crafting with children: paint them, decorate them, hang them up. The cutouts become little works of art for the window, a branch or the bedroom door.
- In a café, at the market or in a bakery: write varieties and prices on larger tags. Your goods are clearly labelled, and the natural wood suits a handmade display.
- For personalised gifts in larger numbers: with the sets of 50 and 100 you can kit out guest favours, giveaways or entire advent calendars in one go.
Good to know about dog tags
The name “dog tag” comes from the rectangular identity tags worn by soldiers. That is where the typical shape with its rounded look and the hole for threading comes from. This shape is easy to hold and work on, whether as a name tag, gift tag or key ring blank.
Care & durability
There is not much you need to do. Store the untreated tags in a dry place and keep them away from constant moisture. This keeps the surface and shape in good condition for a long time. If you want to use them outdoors, you can oil or varnish them first.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint or write on the tags? Yes. The wood is untreated and left natural. You can paint it, stick things on, coat it, oil it or stamp it.

Why do the tags look different? Wood is a natural material. The shade and grain vary, and small knots are normal. This makes every piece one of a kind.
How do I attach the tags? There is a 3 mm hole on the long top edge. Simply thread ribbon, cord or a key ring through it, and you are done.
