The children's birthday party has a building site theme. The invitation cards are still waiting for the right motif – and that's exactly what you're missing. A wooden digger is made for this. It has a clear silhouette in untreated plywood that you can paint, decorate with stickers or simply stand up as it is. With a few wooden cutouts, you can create decorations that really look like your own idea.

What changes for you

  • You design your decoration exactly as you imagine it – because the wood is untreated and can be painted, decorated, stained or oiled.
  • You get exactly the size your project needs – with a freely selectable width from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps.
  • You can get started right away, with no sanding or finishing – the laser-cut edges are smooth and cleanly cut.
  • Bigger projects are no problem either – choose a single digger or a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces.
  • You're holding a genuine natural material – every wooden digger shows its own grain and is one of a kind.

Why this wooden digger makes a difference in everyday life

Whether for a nursery wall, a birthday table or a homemade gift: a recognisable motif instantly gives your decorations a theme. As a classic construction machine, the digger delights little building site fans, and because the wood is left natural, it blends warmly and calmly into any setting. Instead of mass-produced items, you create something that carries your personal touch.

Material & finish

The cutout is made from 3 mm plywood and laser-cut in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia. Laser cutting creates the typical brown edge that finely traces the silhouette. The edges are smooth and the finish is clean. The wood is left untreated, so it is neither varnished nor glazed. This means it takes paint, glue or oil well. Wood is a purely natural material and is never completely uniform. Variations in shade, fine patterns in the grain and small knots are normal. They make every piece unique and are not a defect.

How to use the wooden digger

  • At a building site themed birthday party: a painted digger at every place – and the little guests know as soon as they sit down that something fun is happening.
  • In the children's room: paint the digger in their favourite colour and hang it on the wall or stand it on a shelf – a personal detail no other room has.
  • Crafting with children: every child designs their own digger with paint and glue – and takes home a handmade keepsake at the end.
  • For homemade gifts: as a tag on a present or as a decoration on the cake for a little construction fan's first day at school – a small gesture with a big impact.
  • For commercial use: for nurseries, craft classes or shop window displays, order a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100 pieces – one order, all pieces identical, ready to use straight away.

Good to know about the digger

The digger is one of the best-known construction machines of all – and for many children it's the most fascinating thing a building site has to offer. That's exactly why the motif works so reliably: for building site birthday parties, the children's room or as gift decoration for young and grown-up fans of heavy machinery.

Care & durability

There's not much you need to do: for use in dry indoor spaces, the untreated cutout is ready straight away. If you'd like to protect the surface or add colour, you can paint, oil or varnish the wood – avoid prolonged moisture, and the silhouette will keep its shape and look good for a long time.

Options & what's included

  • Choose your width: 5 cm to 50 cm, in 1 cm steps
  • Available singly or in sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100
  • The wooden cutout is supplied in its natural form, untreated

Frequently asked questions

Can I paint or decorate the digger? Yes. The plywood is untreated and takes paint, glue and oil well – you can paint it, oil it, stick things on it or use it in its natural state.

Where does the brown edge come from? The cutout is laser-cut. This creates the typical brown edge that neatly outlines the shape – the edges are smooth, so no sanding is needed.

How tall is the digger at a particular width? As a guide: at a width of 10 cm, the height is 7.5 cm. Other sizes follow the same proportions.

Do all cutouts look exactly the same? The shape does, the wood not quite: as a natural material, it shows different shades, fine structures and occasionally small knots – which is exactly what makes every piece unique.

In the end, it's not about a wooden cutout. It's about the moment a child holds up the digger they painted themselves and beams with pride. Simply choose your width – single or as a set.
