What changes for you
- You can start decorating straight away instead of sawing it out yourself. The banjo arrives cleanly laser-cut and ready shaped.
- You decide how big your design will be. Choose a height from 5 to 50 cm in 1 cm steps. Use it for anything from a gift tag to wall decoration.
- Your paints, varnishes and oils hold well. The wood is untreated and natural, with no varnish or glaze.
- It's comfortable to work with and the edges won't splinter. The laser-cut edges are smooth and have the typical brown rim.
- Bigger projects are easy to plan. You can order the banjo on its own or as a set of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why this wooden banjo makes a difference
A ready-made cutout takes care of the hardest part for you. You don't need to draw, saw or sand. You can focus on the fun part: decorating. Maybe you're crafting with kids at the kitchen table. Maybe you're decorating the rehearsal room. The banjo shape brings a bit of music into the room straight away. And the natural material makes it feel warm and homely rather than generic.
Material & finish
The banjo is laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. This gives it smooth edges with the typical brown rim, which outlines the shape finely. The wood is untreated, unvarnished and unglazed. So it takes paint, glue and oil well, and you're free to decorate it however you like. Wood is a natural material. Each piece varies in shade, and small irregularities in the grain or tiny knots are part of it. That makes every cutout one of a kind. Every banjo is made in our own production in Pößneck, Thuringia, and is carefully finished.

How to use the wooden banjo
- Crafting with kids: each child paints their own little banjo. By the end of the afternoon, a colourful row of instruments hangs in the children's room.
- As a gift tag: tie a mini banjo with a name to the parcel for the musician in the family. The present stands out before it's even unwrapped.
- In the rehearsal room or music room: hang a large banjo of 40 or 50 cm on the wall. Anyone can see at a glance what the room is about.
- On the party table: use small banjos as table scatter or place cards at the music society's celebration. Every place setting reflects your shared hobby.
- For music schools, clubs and shops: with a set of 10 or more, you can decorate shop windows, concert evenings or your market stall in a matching style. You don't have to make each piece yourself.
Good to know about the banjo
The banjo has its roots in African American musical tradition. It later became the defining sound of bluegrass, country and folk. So the silhouette works not just as a general music motif. It's also a fitting decoration or gift idea for fans of these styles. Use it for anything from a concert evening to a banjo player's birthday.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Store the cutouts in a dry place and simply wipe them with a dry cloth when needed. The wood is untreated, so avoid long-term moisture. If you'd like the banjo to be more durable, you can paint, oil or varnish it after decorating.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wood already treated? No, the plywood is untreated, neither varnished nor glazed. You can paint, decorate, coat or oil it as you like.
Why are the edges brown? The banjo is laser-cut, which creates the typical brown rim. The edges are smooth and give the shape a clear outline.
Do all cutouts look the same? The shape is identical, but wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary. Every piece is one of a kind.
Can I order larger quantities? Yes. As well as single pieces, there are sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100. They're ideal for craft groups, clubs or shop decoration, for example.
Which size suits my project? For gift tags, table scatter and place cards, choose small heights from 5 cm. For wall decoration in the music room, go for the large sizes up to 50 cm.
What matters isn't the wooden cutout itself. It's the moment your hand-painted banjo hangs on a present or on the rehearsal room wall. And someone smiles because it's just right. Simply choose your size and quantity. You design the rest yourself.
