Not sure which to choose? With a Bütic gift voucher you can never get it wrong.Advent is just around the corner. Paints, thread and wrapping paper are spread out on the table. All you're missing is the motif that ties it all together. If you'd like to make and decorate a wooden tree, these little Christmas trees with a hole are made for your craft table. They are untreated wooden trees in 2–10 cm. You can paint them, stick things on them or simply hang them up as natural wood. A few minutes at the kitchen table turn into decorations that really look like you.
What changes for you
- You decorate each tree just the way you want. The wood is untreated, so you can paint, oil, stick things on or draw on it.
- Your gifts and branches get a lovely finishing touch. Simply pull a thread through the small hole at the top.
- You get exactly the size that suits your project. Choose from 2 to 10 cm in 1 cm steps.
- You can craft with children in a relaxed way. The edges are cleanly laser-cut and the surface feels smooth in your hand.
- You can plan larger projects without reordering – with sets of 10, 25, 50 or 100.
Why these wooden Christmas trees make a difference every day
Shop-bought decorations look the same everywhere. Wooden trees you decorate yourself tell your own story. On the Advent wreath, on a card or on gift ribbon: the untreated wood feels rough and light. It suits simple and elaborate decorations alike. And because the trees come in every size from 2 to 10 cm, they fit Advent wreaths, cards and gift ribbon – from the first Sunday of Advent to Christmas Day.
Material & finish
The Christmas trees are laser-cut from 3 mm plywood. That's where the light surface and the typical brown edges come from. The edges give every motif a clear outline. The wood is untreated, not varnished or glazed. So it takes paint and glue well. As a purely natural material, it shows different shades, fine textures in the grain and occasionally small knots. This is not a flaw. It is exactly what makes every piece one of a kind. The trees are made in Bütic's own production in Pößneck, Thuringia.

- At a craft afternoon: everyone paints their own little tree. By the evening, the first homemade Christmas decoration is hanging in the window.
- When wrapping gifts: a tree on the ribbon with a name on it. Everyone can see at a glance which present under the tree is yours.
- On the Advent wreath or a branch: thread on a few little trees. The decoration looks lovingly made without much effort.
- On cards and invitations: stick on a motif for Christmas, a birthday or a celebration. Your post gets a handmade detail.
- In a café, bakery or at a market stall: use them as tags on bags and gifts or as table decorations on the counter. It's a seasonal display that's quick to put up and looks like natural material.
Good to know about the Christmas tree
The custom of putting up a decorated tree at Christmas comes from the German-speaking world. It has been documented since the 16th century. No wonder the fir tree is still the Christmas motif above all others. As a small wooden ornament, it brings this tradition to gifts, cards and the festive table.
Care & durability
There's not much you need to do. Keep the trees in a dry place and they will last for many years. As the wood is untreated, avoid constant moisture. If you'd like to protect the surface, you can simply oil or paint it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I paint the Christmas trees or stick things on them? Yes. The wood is untreated and can be painted, oiled, decorated and glued. Paint and glue stick well to the natural surface.
What is the hole for? Pull a thread through the small hole at the top centre to turn the tree into a hanging ornament. Use it for gifts, branches or the Advent wreath.
Why don't all the trees look the same? Wood is a natural material. Shade, grain and small knots vary from piece to piece. That is exactly what makes each tree one of a kind.
How wide is a tree? The width increases with the height. For example, a tree 10 cm high is 8.5 cm wide.
Plywood and centimetres are only the starting point. What counts is the moment your hand-decorated tree hangs on a gift. And the person receiving it picks it up first. Just choose your size and set quantity. Then start decorating.
